Climate Chorus · Public early-access preview · Draft for legal review
Terms of use
Plain-language terms for using this early-access preview of Climate Chorus. It lets you send a real message to a real decision-maker, from your own email, under your own name — so a few things are worth agreeing up front. This build has no accounts and no server: nothing you type is collected by us. This is a working draft for legal review, not legal advice.
Who you're agreeing with
These terms are between you and Climate Chorus Pty Ltd ("Climate Chorus", "we"). Questions: hello@climatechorus.com.
1What this is
- This is an early-access preview, shown to testers and collaborators rather than the general public. It's a live build — some features are still being finished, and it may change, pause or end at any time.
- You use it voluntarily, and you can stop whenever you like. There is no account to close, because there is no account.
2Real messages, sent by you
- When you choose to act, the app opens your own email app or the decision-maker's own contact form with a suggested message. You review it and send it — nothing is sent until you do, and nothing is sent by us on your behalf.
- The message is sent from your own email account, under your own name, to a real decision-maker or an official submission channel. Once you send it, it can't be recalled.
- The suggested wording is a starting point — you're free to edit it, and you are responsible for the final message you send.
3Your responsibilities (acceptable use)
When you use this preview, you agree that you will not send, write or submit anything that:
- is unlawful, harassing, threatening, defamatory or knowingly false;
- impersonates someone else or misrepresents who you are or where you live;
- infringes anyone's rights, or includes another person's private details without their consent;
- tries to disrupt, misuse or gain unauthorised access to the app.
Send under your own identity and only from an email account you control. You're responsible for what you send.
4Information, not advice
- The content in the app — decisions, framing, sources and suggested messages — is provided to inform, and we work to keep it accurate, but it may contain errors or become out of date.
- It is not legal, financial, or professional advice, and it is not advice on how to vote. Decisions you make are your own.
- Some figures shown may be illustrative while a decision itself hasn't started yet; we flag these where we can.
5Your privacy
This build has no accounts and no server. What you type — drafts, views, any name or email you enter — stays in your own browser; nothing reaches Climate Chorus. On-device usage logging (which screens and buttons you use) stays on your device too. The message you send, and who it goes to, travel through your own email provider or the decision-maker's own form — Climate Chorus never sees or stores either.
6Intellectual property
The app, its content and brand are owned by Climate Chorus or our licensors. We give you a personal, limited, revocable licence to use this preview.
7No warranty & liability
- This preview is provided "as is", without warranties that it will be uninterrupted, error-free, or that a message will reach or move any decision-maker.
- To the extent permitted by law, Climate Chorus is not liable for indirect or consequential loss arising from its use. Nothing in these terms excludes rights you have under the Australian Consumer Law that cannot be excluded.
8Changes, law & contact
- We may update these terms; we'll make the current version available in the app.
- These terms are governed by the laws of New South Wales, Australia.
- Questions or complaints: hello@climatechorus.com.
⚑ For the legal reviewer
Confirm: entity name/ABN and governing-law jurisdiction; ACL non-excludable-rights wording; and whether acceptance needs to be captured anywhere given there's no consent screen or account in this build (unlike the closed pilot, which has both). This document deliberately omits data-collection, retention and deletion clauses — there is nothing to collect in this build; see the Pilot's Privacy, Collection & Consent statement for the separate, closed pilot which does collect data.
